HORIBA, Ltd. (headquarters in Kyoto, Japan) and HORIBA ABX S.A.S. (headquartered in Montpellier, France, horIBA Medical) announced today that they have entered into a long-term agreement with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. (headquartered in NY, USA, below Siemens Healthineers). The agreement will combine each company`s innovative complementary technology offerings to meet the multidisciplinary requirements of IPD-1`s test customers. As part of the Afghanistan Energy Hub agreement, Siemens Energy will support the Afghan energy sector through a three-step plan, developing a reliable and affordable electricity supply, while addressing the efficient use of natural resources to reduce government revenues. The company will also work with the government to develop training and vocational training programs for the Afghan people and to support the creation of a skilled and competitive local workforce for infrastructure and industrial development. The agreement was signed by Abdul Habib Zadran, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mahmood Qadri, current Director of the Financial and Administrative Department of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), and Khan Mohammad Takal, Director of the Energy Services Authority in Afghanistan, and Dietmar Siersdorfer, Director of Eastern Management of Siemens Energy, and Michael Bueker, Vice President finance of Siemens, Abu Dhabi. The signing ceremony was celebrated by H.E. Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and Christian Bruch, CEO of Siemens Energy.
It builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Siemens with the Afghan government in January 2019 to support the country`s sustainable development.
